Session 1 on Friday, June 14, 2024, at 7:30 pm:

Archaeology and the Bible.”  This lesson will explain fundamental principles of archaeology and how discoveries can be used to check the accuracy of the biblical text and encourage believers.

Guided Tour on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 8:00am:

The Hebrew Bible Walk-through (45 Minutes)

Immerse yourself in this impressionistic telling of the Hebrew narrative, starting with a perfect beginning tragically interrupted by the chaos of man’s rebellion against his creator and onward through one family’s subsequent journey.”

New Testament Theater (8 Minutes)

“Jesus’ disciples recount the story of how a community, connected by faith in Jesus, began and spread, first from the Jew and then to the Gentile. Their growth was fueled by a belief that God is leading people, from all ethnicities, home through Jesus, whom he raised from the dead to rule as king.”

After the guided tour, the members can roam the museum if they desire until 11 AM.

Session 2 on Saturday Afternoon (1:30pm): “Ancient History and the Bible.”

This topic will consider the archaeological evidence that supports the accuracy of the Bible. It will examine texts that illuminate the biblical record and extrabiblical references to people mentioned in Scripture. We will also discuss the difference between history and mythology, and why the Bible can be trusted as a reliable historical document in addition to being the Word of God.

Session 3a - Bible Class (10:00am):

The Sunday morning bible topic is titled, “Fake News, Falsehoods, and Christian Faith.” This class will explore popular myths and misconceptions about the Bible and Christianity that believers will hear in the media.

Session 3b - Sermon on Sunday (11:00am):

The Sunday morning lesson is titled, “Spiritual Lessons from Archaeology.” In this lesson, we will survey some of the great archaeological discoveries in history and what spiritual lessons we can glean from them.
